Jessica De Luca and Nick Di Pietro’s blind date was SO blind, they didn’t even know it was a date. “We were set up by mutual friends, unknowing to the both of us. We had been asked to meet a few friends for drinks by our respective friends without knowing that their intention was to set us up,” explained our bride, Jessica.
Once they found out what the plan was, all hope for these two to unite that night were lost. “Nick got very nervous and I got upset and decided to punish my friends by completely ignoring him when we got introduced!” laughed Jessica. “I was very attracted to him, however I had to keep my stubborn streak and not show him what I thought of him lol! I continued to ignore him all night!” Ahhh! Sweet, sweet revenge! But, sometimes your friends know what’s good for you more than you do…
Totally convinced that these two were a match made in heaven, the friends eventually persuaded Jessica and Nick to meet the group for drinks one more time.
“Reluctantly we both said yes,” Jessica recounted. “At this point I was still giving Nick the cold shoulder, for the life of me I don’t know why. But he started telling such a funny story that I burst out laughing and I remember saying to myself, omg this guy is so funny!” That’s when she broke down. From that point on, they spent the rest of the night away from everyone else, talking. Goal scored for the friends! Woot!
Jessica and Nick’s wedding day had even more “goals scored.”
“We made it a point to incorporate time to watch the Euro Cup Italy game, which happened to take place on the same day,” said Nick. Marrone Films was happy to accommodate the couple’s request to change the wedding photo location to an Italian bar – I mean, what a fun idea! The bride and groom’s parents, along with the entire bridal party got together to watch the soccer game at a bar down the street from their church, Paroisse St. Joachim. “It was something that was true to our Italian roots and our Italian family culture,” explained Nick. “You can actually see the true emotions and intensity of watching that soccer game in our wedding pictures, which we love!”
“The most important element to our relationship is that we truly enjoy each other’s company and we seriously do laugh with and at each other almost every single day! We are about the little things in life and our chemistry is truly fun loving! Most importantly we support each other and have each other’s backs 100%. There is absolutely no selfishness and complete understanding. Our relationship is completely natural and down to earth.”

We asked Jessica and Nick if they had any advice for future couples planning their wedding:
“Choose a team that shows passion for what they do and displays their ability to evolve,” said Nick. “Marrone’s team is exceptional! You can tell that they are very much connected and passionate at what the do! The patience and professionalism that they had with us during our editing process was incredible!”
Awe. We’re totally blushing! Thanks Nick.
We’re so happy that your friends didn’t give up on you. You truly are made for each other.
